A Zine created by young people who attended one of Art Against Knives Community Nail and Hair bars, Dollis Dolls Nails.
In 2011 we opened our first ever community nail bar on Dollis Valley Estate and it remained open for 11 years. Since then we've launched two more across the borough of Barnet and our model has gone onto influence best practice nationally.
Young people from the community navigated significant change as a result of huge regeneration in their community. We spent 18 months co-designing a magazine with the local young women that creatively documented their experiences, ideas and vision for change.
All proceeds from the sale of this Zine goes directly back into funding our creative safe spaces for young people across Barnet.
